How Significant is 2% improvement?
Let’s take an example of Tour de France!
The Tour de France is an annual multiple stage bicycle race primarily held in France, while also occasionally making passes through nearby countries. The race consists of 21 segments, called as stages over a 23-day period and cover around 3,500 kilometers. The race alternates between clockwise and counter clockwise circuits of France.
Year 2017 version of Tour de France had 167 participants completing the race with the winner finishing with a timing of 86 hours & 20 minutes, while the person finishing last (167th) clocked a timing of 90 hours & 56 minutes.
That’s a difference of 4 hours and 35 minutes – separating the person at 167th rank from the person at 1st rank!
Two percent improvement in performance would make the person finishing last, i.e. 167th to finish at 76th.
Two percent improvement in performance would make the person finishing at 40th to become the WINNER of the race!
For the organizations as well as for individuals, that 2% performance improvement lets them stand out from the rest.
In the changing market environment and constantly increasing competition, agility is that one thing which separates a successful organization from its competitors.
At PIEBYTWO, our goal is to help organizations and individuals to grow their agility pie by two percent at a time!
